Fulham Start Strong to Defeat Tottenham and Increase Tension on the Manager
Spurs fans who booed goalkeeper Vicario were informed afterwards "those individuals cannot be real Spurs supporters" by boss Frank.
Spurs conceded a pair of goals in the opening initial moments to lose 2-1 to Fulham, registering their 10th top-flight home defeat of 2025.
But the primary topic of discussion was the visitors' next goal when Vicario gave away possession far beyond his area.
He came out to deal with a long ball and took the ball near the sideline.
However, instead of booting it out of play, the Italian spun and attempted to clear, but lost his footing as the ball skimmed off Harry Wilson and was collected by Josh King.
The forward passed the ball off to Welsh midfielder Harry Wilson, who curled a strike into the net from the touchline recorded at thirty-six point six metres.
Moments afterwards when the ball went to Vicario again, a number of Tottenham supporters jeered him.
The team were booed off at the interval, with the club 2-0 behind, and once more at the final whistle.
A particular of those jeering sessions truly irritated the manager.
"It came to my attention a few of our supporters apparently jeered the situation and jeered following, which, in my view is totally unjustifiable," the Danish manager commented regarding the fans' reaction to his goalkeeper.
"[They] cannot be true Spurs supporters that act that way. Fair enough jeering after the game, no problem, but when we are playing, we are supporting each other, we are with one another going forward."
Kenny Tete had given Fulham a fourth-minute advantage prior to Wilson's goal – with Mohammed Kudus netting for Tottenham in an improved second period showing.
Ex- Premier League goalkeeper Joe Hart stated that the next score was "totally avoidable".
"I do appreciate the supporters' disappointment," the ex-keeper added. "I am aware the role Vicario is playing. He is a great squad member, he's a true figure in the dressing room but ultimately you are going to be judged by your decisions.
"The keeper was heavily involved in what turned out to be the winning score."
'It is In the Game, I'm a Big Man'
Thomas Frank Defended His Goalkeeper Vicario After the Match
Italy national team Vicario is in his 3rd campaign with Spurs.
He stated following the match that he had to accept the feedback.
"That goal was a error of my own, I accept responsibility for that," he said.
"The intent was to kick the ball far and I just hit the ball in a bad way. It was an more difficult challenge to climb."
He stated being booed "comes with the game".
"I'm a big man, what can I say?" he continued. "We can't be affected by the situation in the stands. Supporters have the entitlement to do what they think.
"It's on the team to stay more composed, to focus on ourselves. The team is lacking in composure and poise to overturn outcomes. This match is a poor loss and it is tough to accept."
'It Shocked Me No One Went Back to the Goal Line'
In spite of Vicario's mistake, it was not an easy goal for Wilson to convert.
Actually it was the second most distant top division goal of the season – after Tyler Adams' forty-three point three yard strike for Bournemouth against the Black Cats, which incidentally also occurred on the same day.
The goalscorer stated he was "somewhat surprised" that he still had an empty goal to target.
Ten moments elapsed between Vicario coming out of his box and Wilson striking – which was five seconds following the kick.
"I felt like the goalkeeper was out of the box for a long time," he said.
"I was surprised not one of the back four returned to the line. When none of them defended the net, my eyes sparked somewhat.
"[Destiny] Udogie fell too, which gave me a little additional time. Then it was all about trying to make the correct connection and get it on target. I had a good feeling, the moment it came off my foot, that it was heading in."

Booing Whilst We Are Still Playing Is Totally Unacceptable - Frank
Although the keeper's error led headlines, this was an all-round poor day for Tottenham to continue their home ground woes.
The match was their tenth at home defeat of the year in the Premier League, a joint team statistic along with nineteen ninety-four and two thousand and three.
They still have home games against Frank's old side Brentford and title holders Liverpool to come prior to the end of the season.
Only one of those victories have come after the manager replaced Ange Postecoglou in the summer.
"When you're down 2-0 after the opening, there is a huge challenge to overcome," said Frank.
"When you're in a poor run, all aspects appears to work against you too – the first was a deflected shot, the next is a error from Vic.
"The outcome leaves us in a place where we have lost an additional game. Every game has a single story, today we were defeated in the first six minutes.
"We just need to continue striving. The later period was significantly improved and with luck something we can use to learn."
Spurs have lost four straight at home capital clashes for the first time in the Premier League.
And they are recording 9.5 shots and three point two shots on target per match in the division – their poorest rates on record in a single campaign (dating back to the 2003-04 season).
Former Cottagers midfield player Murphy stated that Frank has to endure the criticism.
"He's got take the criticism," Murphy said. "He has accepted a prestigious role at a major team with massive expectation. There is pressure and responsibility that comes with that.
"Their showings at their stadium have been disappointing and they have to improve {quickly|
